Experience savour on the run!
At the Henkell 0.0 % the focus is not on record times. Of course, there is an award ceremony. Above all, you gain special moments and a wonderful time for yourself or to share with your friends. The decision whether to run a half marathon or marathon can be made spontaneously – or you can choose the 8 km short distance in advance.
The start takes place at Abtei St. Hildegard (St. Hildegard Abbey) in Rüdesheim. Short-distance runners cross the finish line at Schloss Johannisberg (Johannisberg Castle), half marathon runners in Hattenheim – both set in the picturesque Rheingau wine region. Marathon runners celebrate their finish at Schloss Henkell (Henkell Castle) in Wiesbaden-Biebrich, together with all runners at the finisher buffet and finisher party. You enjoy nature and historical scenes, discover regional delicacies at the savour stations and let yourself be charmed by the hospitality of the Rheingau wine estates.
The Henkell 0.0 % takes you right through the Rheingau – past vineyards, historic castles and the Rhine, with at least ten savour stops as little festivals, where sports nutrition and local treats from the wine region Rheingau await you. On all distances, you’ll find the right refreshment point every three to five kilometers.
Pure savour over 8, 21.1 or 42.2 kilometers.
Start and finish at Schloss Henkell (Henkell Castle):A shuttle takes you to the start in Rüdesheim at the Abtei St. Hildegard (St. Hildegard Abbey). In start groups you run with the Niederwalddenkmal behind you, vineyards on the left and the Rhine on the right. On the route you pass Geisenheim, and the way leads you to the 8 km finish at Schloss Johannisberg (Johannisberg Castle). Via Oestrich-Winkel, the view opens to Wiesbaden and you reach Schloss Vollrads (Vollrads Castle). Half Marathon runners reach the finish after Hattenheim. Like the short-distance runners, they return by shuttle to Schloss Henkell (Henkell Castle) and celebrate there with sparkling wine and regional delicacies. For Marathon runners, the course continues via Erbach to Eltville am Rhein, through Walluf and flat along the riverbank to Schiersteiner Hafen. Through the Schlosspark of Biebrich (Biebrich Palace), the final climb leads into the Ehrenhof of Schloss Henkell (Henkell Castle).

Henkell 0.0 % delights with its delicately fruity, fresh taste and is the perfect choice for those who wish to enjoy consciously – alcohol-free and vegan. Henkell 0.0 % impresses with a well-balanced aromatic profile: fruity notes of pear, apple and citrus, combined with a subtle hint of vanilla. The harmonious overall impression is rounded off by a balanced interplay of sweetness and acidity and a fine perlage.

The vineyards stretch across around 15 hectares, from Erbach to Assmannshausen. The winery cultivates the grape varieties typical of the Rheingau, such as Riesling, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc. In addition, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay also enrich the range, and in the coming years, the first PIWI wines can also be expected.
A special experience awaits at the summer wine garden “Zum DICKE TONI”, which opens its gates on sunny Sundays. Enjoy selected wines and small delicacies in the idyllic garden, while taking in the view across the Steinberg all the way to the Hallgartener Zange.
